The Pink Panther

A truly amazing and absolutely HILARIOUS movie. That's what The Pink Panther is. People may start making comparisons with the original one of the 60's.....but that's not a prob with me...coz I haven't seen the original!! hehe :-)

Anyways, Steve Martin is superb. Simply superb. He carries out the role of the dumb Inspector Clouseau brilliantly, in a way that only he can. The French accent, the sweet innocence behind his ever-increasing mistakes, his unique ways of investigation, etc etc make him extremely endearing. He's ably supported in the movie by Kevin Kline who plays the role of the Chief Inspector, along with Beyonce Knowles who plays the role of the international popstar Xania. The outcome is a total laugh riot right from the start to the end. In fact, there's hardly a minute (apart from the scene where Clouseau is arrested...) where there's nothing hilarious happening.

The movie is a DEFINITE worth see. Just sit tight and get ready to take off for the laugh riot of your life. Cheers!!

Dream Cars...

Well there are some cars that you just can't help dreaming about...for instance my personal favourite...THE Mercedes SLR McLaren...it's simply out of this world. period.

You have cars, you have better cars, and then you have the Mercedes. Some may brag about their fast and furious Ferraris, others may go ga-ga over their starry Maybachs and Rolls Royces, but the truth is....Mercedes was, is, and will always be the Numero Uno.

The SLR McLaren is a beauty. Great looks along with superior performance. Its not only eye catching but also delivers the power, speed and thrill of a true supercar.

Dream on....and if you end up getting one, you're a lucky dog!! Cheers!!

Life is so unfair

Life can be so very cruel and unfair... the deserving almost always end up not getting what they deserve and the less-deserving ones always end up with the cake!!

The result of Indian Idol 2 has prompted me (once again...) to dwell upon this fact. How come it so happens that the right person is always left behind? Well, regarding Indian Idol 2, the questions initially started getting raised when Amey Date was voted out. And now today, Karunya ended up as the runner-up while Sandeep took the coveted first position and consequently, became the 2nd Indian Idol. That's pretty ironic. I felt really really bad for Karunya. It instantly brought back memories of the time when Amey was voted out. So all and all, Indian Idol 2 ended on a pretty depressing note for me. The journey has been the biggest roller coaster ride of my life. Just impossible to define in words. Dreams crashing to pieces, greatest depressions, insanity and madness creeping in, unable to let go of the Idol fever, trying to get back on my feet, making an effort to fight once again, to dare to dream once again, to mentally psyche myself and prepare myself for Indian Idol 3... and in the end finding out that a deserving guy doesn't win. End of Chapter. End of Indian Idol 2.

The next and only aim - Indian Idol 3.

Loneliness is always looking for a friend...

As the song by Westlife goes, "Loneliness is always looking for a friend, it found me once and has been around since then..."

I had a nice although lonely evening out tonite. It all began when some stupid fools decided to play loud blaring music nearby. The music was so loud that the cups and glasses were literally vibrating on the shelves. And the irony is that our local corporator's office is bang next to where the music was being played. I had to get out of the house, there was no choice.

Anyways,so I stepped out in darkness, courtesy of MSEB who works very fucking hard to provide us with ample electricity. Imagine, they actually provide us with electricity for 15-16 whole hours!!

Anyways, so I went to see Basic Instinct 2. The first thing about the movie that struck me was that...Sharon Stone is HOT!!! super sexy!! Well, the story is good, the suspense is good, but the twists in the tale are the best. Coupled with the fact that Sharon Stone has done a brilliant job portraying the character of a crazy novelist. Her eyes, facial expressions, body language, poise, seductive and manipulative ways and the way she carries herself throughout the film is too good. Her character is pivotal and she's done a brilliant job. There are also a few really bold yet witty dialogues which add some more spice to the film.

All and all, definitely worth a see. Cheers!!

How life tosses you, turns you and churns you

Sometimes (actually many a time...) I find myself questioning the very purpose of life. I mean, what are we here for? Why are we here? Are we really here for a purpose as it is made out to be? Or is our existence just for the sake of it? Wish there were a system where one could choose whether he wants to be born or not.

Anyways, lets not get into hypothetical situations. All that we can do is face whatever comes our way. Easier said than done ain't it? In fact, very very easily said than done. There come those moments in life when you wish you could just stop everything, stop the journey there and then. You wish for some magical and miraculous power to end all your troubles either way: either by bettering things, or by putting an end to things once and for all.

And after a little while, when you're in a mood to contemplate, to look at things, to look at life from a different perspective, you cant help but think whether all of this happened for a reason. Whether all the hurdles, all the filthy abuse, all those situations where you wished you were dead, all those tears really were meant for a good cause. Were they meant to make you a stronger person? Really? Were they?

It's said that whatever happens, happens for a reason and happens for the better. So then is this miserable phase of life, all this suffering meant to help you in some way? If so,then how? Does anyone have an answer? Nope. The only way to find out is through the course of time. If at all you believe in this line of thinking that is...

Else you can just chuck this way of thinking out of the window and be of the opinion that life will never improve, that God is the biggest bastard ever, and that you're destined for suffering.

I've thoroughly experienced both these lines of thinking and have found out that ultimately, it's the way you're thinking that determines the way you're heading.

Indian Idol 2 - Please vote for Karunya!!

Hey for all the people reading this, please vote for Karunya so that he becomes the next Indian Idol.

As a former contestant of Indian Idol 2, I sincerely request people to consider singing as the number one priority and hence, to vote for the best - Karunya!! Karunya definitely deserves to win, but somehow I fear that Sandeep is going to get more votes. Let's hope that whatever happened with Amey doesnt happen with Karunya atleast and that a deserving contestant doesnt lose out for lack of votes.

So all you people out there, there's not much time left. Just 2 days... so get out there and vote for Karunya!!

So little time,so much to do...

So little time so much to do...that's the perfect song to describe the current state of affairs.

Orals are just round the corner, my throat is still not recovered (which is bugging me to no end coz I cant sing...and with the competition not far away, its making me very unsettled.) As if that wasn't enough, I have to start looking for a job, searching companies, searching for contacts...

I wonder how life's gonna be when I step out into the world, once college life is over, once there's no place to hide... well that's a very scary thought and something which gets me all worried and tense. So the best thing is...let's just not think of it!! Live for the moment!!
